Men's Golf opens 2016-17 season at Gatorade Intercollegiate

LAWRENCE, Ohio -- The Hiram College men's golf team opened the 2016-17 campaign at the Gatorade Collegiate hosted the College of Wooster.

The Terriers finished 10th of 10 teams with a 2-day score of 355-342-697.

Ohio Wesleyan took home the team title with a 282-297-579, Allegheny (Pa.) was second with a 2-day score of 299-296-595 and Mount Union rounded out the top three with a 302-297-599.

Junior Michael Schustrich (Windham, Ohio/James A. Garfield) paced Hiram with a 61st place finish and shooting a 87-84-171.

Freshman Evan Dalziel finished 63rd with a 84-89-173 and senior James Workman (Garrettsville, Ohio/Garfield) was right behind in 64th with a 88-86-174.

Colin Haag of Allegheny took home Medalist honors with a 71-65-136.

The Terriers will compete again on September 11 and 12 at the Guy Kuhn Invitational hosted by Allegheney.
