Men's Golf Ninth at NCAC Championships

April 30 - The Hiram College men's golf team completed play at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, finishing ninth with a three-day total of 1,082.

The Championships continued on Sunday afternoon after Saturday's play had been cancelled due to weather. As such, the Championships were decided based on a 54-hole score instead of the normal 72-hole format.

The top individual performer for Hiram was Michael Schustrich, who finished 38th, with a three-round total of 252. Schustrich shot an 86 on day one and an 81 on day two at the Country Club of Meadville last week.

The junior then finished the three-day tournament by shooting an 85 at The Royal American Golf Course in Galena, Ohio.

Other finishers for the Terriers included James Workman (39th - 266), Evan Dalziel (40th - 277) and Ryan Paterak (41st - 287).

Wittenberg took home the team championship, leading after each day and finishing with a score of 878 (+14). Four different Tigers finished in the top five, while Sam Stilwell defeated teammate Cameron Willis in a playoff to claim the individual title.
