Sept. 10 - ERIE, Pa. - The first 45 minutes proved costly for the Hiram College men's soccer team as Penn State-Behrend scored four, first-half goals en route to handing the Terriers a 4-0 defeat on Sunday afternoon.
The host Lions did a majority of the damage in a ten-minute span, finding the net three times between the 20th and 30th minutes. Three different Lions scored in the run, including Nick McKee in the 20th minute, Richard Blanchard in the 24th and Matt Dziadosz in the 30th.
Behrend would add one more tally in the half, getting a score by Shuya Takehana in the late stages-for the first to round out the scoring.
Defensively, goalies CJ Keith face 11 shots on net, making seven saves throughout the contest.
The decision marked the first time during the 2017 season that the score was decided by more than one goal.
The Terriers will be back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 13 as they play host to the Cardinals of Otterbein. The matchup is slated for a 7:30 p.m. start.
