Men's Swimming & Diving falls to Wittenberg, 119-47

HIRAM, Ohio -- The Hiram College men's swimming & diving team fell to Wittenberg 119-47 on Saturday afternoon.

The Terriers drop to 0-8 overall on the season, while the Tigers bump their record to 4-3.

Senior Danny Essel (Euclid, Ohio/Euclid), junior Jamal Hill (Inglewood, Calif./Juniperro Serra) and freshman Reeve Bowling (Minneapolis, Minn./Thomas Jefferson) all recorded second place finishes for Hiram.

Essel was second in the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:14.98 and in the 400-meter I.M. in 5:30.87.

Hill touched second in the 50-meter freestyle in 28.69 seconds and Bowling recorded a second place finish in the 100-meter freestyle in 58.71 seconds.

The Terriers will next swim on January 22, with a home meet at 6 p.m. against John Carroll.
