CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Hiram College women's basketball team will open the 2015-16 campaign by taking on Mount Saint Joseph in the "Lauren Hill Tipoff Classic" on November 14 at the Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier.
The Terriers game will begin at approximately 3:30 minutes after the conclusion of the Xavier vs. Evansville (Ind.) contest that begins at 1 p.m. Both games are part of the "Lauren Hill Tipoff Classic" and will be televised on Fox Sports Ohio.
Hill suited up for Mount Saint Joseph last season on November 2 after being diganosed with an inoperable brain tumor. The NCAA granted a special exemption to move the game up to accommodate Hill and Hiram was more than willing to move the game down to Cincinnati.
She finished the contest with four points and went on to appear in three more games.
The two teams have formed a special bond since that magical afternoon and will meet again to celebrate the legacy Hill has left behind.
All ticket proceeds from both games will benefit Hill's charity, The Cure Starts Now Foundation, which is a non-profit committed to raising money for pediatric cancer research.
