OSTRANDER, OHIO -- Select members of the Hiram College women's golf team competed at the two-day Laura Bump Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at Mill Creek Golf Club in Ostrander.
Hiram did not qualify in the overall team standings. Allegheny (Pa.) College captured the team title with a two-day total 663 strokes (330+330=663). Wittenberg University was second at 669 strokes (341+328=669) and Baldwin-Wallace College rounded out the top three with 674 strokes (338+336=674).
Individually, senior Kritsinee Khowcharoen (Muang, Phitsanulok, Thailand/Fryeburg Academy, Maine) led Hiram with a tournament total 170 strokes and placed in a tie for 22nd overall. Sophomore Carrie Dyer (Canton/McKinley) ended the tournament with 255 total strokes and freshman Becky Fleischman (Pepper Pike/Orange) rounded out the Terrier competitors with a total of 263 strokes.
Hiram will compete in the Allegheny (Pa.) College Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, Apr. 21-22 at the Country Club of Meadville in Meadville, Pa.
