HIRAM, OHIO  --  The Hiram College women's lacrosse team was defeated by Denison University, 18-2, in the North Coast Athletic Conference and season finale at Charles A. Henry Field on senior day.

Denison (11-4, 6-2 NCAC) scored 14 of their 18 goals in the first half, including beginning the period with nine straight scores with its last one coming at the 15:21 minute mark.  Hiram (3-13, 0-8 NCAC) then got on the board with 15:08 left in the half when sophomore Rebecca Goetz (Buffalo, N.Y./Frontier) found the back of the net on an unassisted goal to make the score 9-1.  The Big Red went on to pad their lead with five more scores before Goetz tallied her second goals of the game just before the end of the half with less than a minute to go.  But Hiram would still trail, 14-2, at the intermission.

Denison scored the only points of the second half with four additional goals en route to posting the 18-2 victory.

Goetz was the lone point-scorer for Hiram finishing with two points thanks to her pair of goals.

Sophomore Rebecca Greenhouse (Pittsburgh, Pa./Winchester Thurston) played all 60 minutes and had 14 saves.
