CLEVELAND, OHIO -- Hiram College women's lacrosse player and sophomore JoLyn Grover (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc) has been named to the 2014 All-North Coast Athletic Conference Teams as an honorable mention pick. [2014 All-NCAC]
In only the second year of existence for women's lacrosse at Hiram, Grover started all 16 games and led the team in goals with 25, including a pair of game-winning scores, for a team-best 25 points. She scored 13 of her goals on free-position shots which put her in the top-five in the conference in that category. Grover also tied for the team-lead in shots with 56 and had a .446 shot percentage. In addition, she ended the 2014 season second on the team in both draw controls (22), caused turnovers (12) and was amongst the team leaders in ground balls (23).
"Losses, injuries and fun times, we spread our love for the game and play our hearts out," said Grover. "I'd like to thank all my team members, coach, family and friends for allowing me to play the sport that I love. Thank you so much for honorable mention, I'm so grateful."
"I am very excited for JoLyn to have made one of the NCAC All-Conference teams," said second-year Head Coach Erika Blozie. "She started every game for us this year and rarely came off the field which is not easy for a midfielder. She has worked hard this year and that showed on the field. I see having a member of Hiram's team nominated not only as an accomplishment for JoLyn, but also as a sign of the accomplishments we have made as an entire team."
