Terriers Drop Final Road Tilt Against Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Hiram College women's lacrosse team dropped an 18-3 decision to the Oberlin Yeowomen on Wednesday night.

Oberlin held the lead in the entire game, outscoring Hiram 12-1 over the first thirty minutes. The lone Terrier goal in the half came from Sierah Ray at the 11:24 mark.

The Yeowomen continued to add to their score in the second half, taking a lead as high as 12. Although Alexis Hirsch and Alyse Gillentine managed to tack on two more goals for Hiram, Oberlin added six more goals and snagged the win.

Alexis Hirsch finished the match with a team-high four ground balls, while Katelyn Slomovitz followed with three. Rachel Metcalf and Kait Zemanski also added a pair.

The Terriers will have their final home match of the season on Saturday, April 29 when they host Wooster at 1 p.m. Five players competing in their final game, including Autumn Osgood, Erin Smith, Kayla Jenkins, Mercedes Jones and Zemanski, will be recognized as part of senior day festivities.
