Women's Swimming & Diving Competes in Day One of NCAC Championships

Feb. 8 – GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Hiram College women's swimming & diving team opened the 2017 North Coast Athletic Conference Championships by collecting 48 points on day one of the event on Wednesday evening.

The Terriers competed in just one event, as the women earned a ninth-place finish in the 800 freestyle relay.

The relay team, which comprised of Jenna Nelson, Emily Kelly, Sierra Daniels and Jill Schmidt, finished the race with a time of 9:30.17.

Following day one of competition, which was made up of just three events, Denison University leads the way on both the men's and women's sides.

Day two of the four-day championships will begin at 10:00 a.m. with preliminary heats of the 50, 200 and 500 freestyles, the 200 individual medley and the 400 medley relays.
