Swim with the Hiram College Terriers 

Times:

  • 1 - 2 p.m., 2 - 3 p.m., 3 - 4 p.m., 4 - 5 p.m. on Sunday afternoons
  • All Levels, All Hours
  • Lessons are 45 minutes with 15 minutes of free time at the end

"Jellyfish"
(Bubbles & Floats)

Just getting used to the water, including water safety.

How to put face in water, how to float, mechanics of kicking, and freestyle strokes.

"Seahorse"

(Front Crawl/Freestyle)
How to put face in the water and basic mechanics of freestyle. How to swim freestyle (across the pool, unsupported), and basic mechancis of backstroke.

"Halibut (fish)"

(Backstroke)
How to swim freestyle (across the pool, unsupported) and basic mechanics of backstroke. How to swim backstroke (across the pool, unsupported), stream lines, treading water, and beginning to dive.

"Otter"

(Breaststroke) 
How to swim freestyle and backstroke (across pool, unsupported), steamlines and treading water. How to swim breaststroke (across the pool, unsupported), beginning flip turns, and advance with dives.

"Dolphin"

(Butterfly)

How to swim breaststroke, backstroke and freestyle (across the pool, unsupported) How to swim butterfly (accross the pool, unsupported), to dive in, flip turns, and gain endurance.
