KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Junior Austen Rekolt (Salem/West Branch) has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court.
In all, over 1,000 student-athletes from over 350 NCAA institutions received this honor.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior, have played for at least one season at their current institution and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 at the end of the 2014-15 academic year.
Rekolt, a nursing major, played and started in 23 contests for the Terriers last season.
He averaged 3.8 ppg and dished out 36 assists, which ranked third on the team.
In his career, Rekolt has seen action in 51 games, dishing out 83 assists and shooting .390 from the field.
The Terriers posted a 11-14 overall record in 2014-15 and will tip off the 2015-16 campaign on November 16 at Division I foe Akron.
