Men's Basketball receives votes in D3hoops.com poll

HIRAM, Ohio -- The Hiram College men's basketball team received votes in the fifth D3hoops.com poll.

The Terriers garnered in 27 points in the poll, which was just 12 shy of cracking the top 25.

Whitworth (Wash.) was the top ranked team with 603 points and 15 first place votes, Elmhurst (Ill.) was second with 575 points and two first place votes and Augustana (Ill.) was voted third with 557 points and five first place votes.

Fellow NCAC opponent Ohio Wesleyan was ranked eighth in the poll.

Hiram has won eight straight and stands at 11-2 on the season and is tied atop the NCAC with a 5-1 mark.

The Terriers will play next on Wednesday, when they take on Wooster in a key NCAC contest at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are currently tied atop the conference with identical 5-1 marks.
