Dec.21- CRAWFORDSVILLE, IN – The Hiram College men's basketball team dropped a 102–61 decision against No.21 Wabash College, Friday afternoon.
The Terriers grabbed the first lead of the game early, with an 8-3 run in the first five minutes of play. Sophomore Christian Crespo was a key piece to the scoring effort, tallying four of the eight points in the run.
Minutes later Hiram would take the lead once again, off a three from Sherman Dean III to push the score to 14-12.
Over the remaining time, the game would see two ties before the Little Giants would outscore the Terriers 31-11 to take a 47-27 advantage at the half.
In the second half, the host would continue to hold the offensive momentum pushing their largest lead to 41 with a final score of 102-61.
Against the Little Giants, Crespo led the way for the Terriers with a team-high 21 points. Senior Marcel Rice would add a solid performance with eight points and six rebounds. While in his 15 minutes of work Jalen Kirksey tallied seven points and three rebounds.
The Terriers will be back in action on Sunday, December 30, as they play host to Kent State - Tuscarawas. The matchup is scheduled for a 2 p.m. tip.
