April 29- MANSFIELD, Ohio- The Hiram College men's golf team tallied a ninth-place finish at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday afternoon.
Individually, Charlie Lichtenwalter led the way for the Terriers. The freshman finished in 37th place (248), three places ahead of his rankings after the second day of competition. Lichtenwalter finished the first round with an 81, the second with an 87 and wrapped up with a weekend best of 80.
Other Terrier competitors in the field included Ryan Paterak (42nd), Trevor Wendel (43rd), and Aaron Rataj (44).
Allegheny's Louis Olsakovsky held on to the top individual leader position shooting a 71 in the first, 67 in the second, and a 73 on the last day to total a final score of 211 (-5).
The defending national champions, Wittenberg University won the team title again this year with a combined total of 898. A single stroke set apart the first and second team with Ohio Wesleyan University finishing with a team total of 899. Kenyon College rounded out the top three with a score of 907.
