Sept.25- MARIETTA, Ohio- The Hiram College men's soccer team fell 3-1 to non-conference foe Marietta College, Tuesday night.
The Pioneers were on fire in the first half scoring 20 seconds apart with back-to-back goals. With the quick action, Marietta took an early 2-0 lead.
Minutes later, Hiram got on the board off a career first goal from freshman Tommy Rink off an assist from sophomore Giovanni Meza to cut the host advantage to 2-1.
After the half, Marrietta added to their lead with a final goal in the 74th minute.
The Pioneers outshot Hiram 16-6 in the match and held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Hiram will face DePauw on Saturday, September 29 in a homecoming day matchup. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 pm start.
