Sept. 3 – CLEVELAND, Ohio – For the first time in his career, Hiram College men's soccer freshman defender, Keagan Le'Roux, has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week, announced the NCAC on Tuesday afternoon.
Le'Roux was selected as the player of the week in the conference after helping the Terriers to a pair of victories over Defiance and Edgewood.
In the first weekend of play, the freshman defender posted his first collegiate goal in the 3-2 win over Defiance.
Le'Roux shined in the second game of the weekend, knocking in a team-high two goals in the 5-1 victory over Edgewood.
"From day one of preseason Keagan has come in here and made an impact, and he continued his strong play with a terrific performance this opening weekend on both sides of the ball" commented head coach Dan Zemanski. "Three goals in two games only tells part of the story, with the stalwart play on the backline as well."
You can catch Le'Roux and the rest of the men's soccer team in their home opener on Friday, September 6 at 7 pm as they take on Medaille (N.Y.).
