Albion, Mich. - September 8, 2019 – Hiram College Terriers' men's soccer fell to Albion College, 1-0, on Sunday at the Davis Athletics Complex, dropping their first game of the season.
Though the Britons outshot the Terriers, 6-1, in the first half, CJ Keith kept Albion off the scoreboard with three saves.
Both teams picked up the pace in the second half, combining for 19 shots, but it was only the Britons that were able to find the back of the net. Off an assist from Stefan Isaevski, Alex Sayeg found the back of the net in the 64th minute to give Albion a 1-0 lead.
And the Terriers couldn't find an equalizer, as Maximilian Loria saved all five of Hiram's shots on goal, to give Albion the 1-0 victory.
Hiram drops to 2-1-1 with the loss, while Albion moves to 1-3-1 on the year.
Keagan Le'Roux led Hiram with two shots, while Keith tallied seven saves.
The Terriers will be back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 11 when they host Mount Union at Charles A. Henry Field at 7:30 p.m.
