CLEVELAND, OHIO -- Sophomore Kayla Yost (Norwalk/Perkins) was named Honorable Mention All-NCAC and freshman Mercedes Jones (Dayton/Ponitz Career Technology Center) was named NCAC Newcomer of the Year.
Yost earns her first All-NCAC selection.
She led the team in scoring (13.2 ppg), rebounding (8.5 rpg) and double-doubles (nine). Yost pulled down 221 total rebounds, which was ninth most in single-season history.
She earned NCAC Player of the Week honors two times during the 2014-15 campaign.
Jones finished the season ranked second on the team in scoring at 10.0 ppg and was tied for second in rebounding (3.8 rpg).
She posted a shooting percentage of .510, which was fourth best in single-season history.
Jones is the first player in Hiram women's basketball history to win NCAC Newcomer of the Year.
Under first year head coach Emily Hays, Hiram went 7-19 overall and 3-13 in the NCAC.
