HIRAM, Ohio -- The Hiram College women's lacrosse team fell to Wittenberg 20-1 at home on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers are now 3-6 on the season and 0-3 in the NCAC, while the Tigers improve to 6-2, 3-0.
Sophomore Autumn Osgood (Hyde Park, Vt./Lamoille Union) scored the lone goal for the Terriers with 2:44 left. She now has a team leading 18 scores on the season.
Wittenberg took control of the game early, scoring nine times in the first nine minutes to take a commanding 9-0 lead.
The Tigers held a 12-0 advantage at the break.
In goal, freshman Rachel Metcalf (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) made eight saves. She also scopped up a team-high eight ground balls.
Junior Rebecca Goetz (Lake View, N.Y./Frontier) recorded five ground ball pickups, while junior Paige McLain (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) and sophomore Erin Smith (Youngstown/Cardinal Mooney) each had three.
The Terriers will be back at it on Wednesday, when they continue NCAC play with a 7 p.m. home game against Allegheny (Pa.).
