Women's Lacrosse falls in road contest at Lycoming (Pa.)

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- The Hiram College women's lacrosse team dropped at 21-3 decision at Lycoming (Pa.) on Tuesday afternoon.

The Terriers are now 0-2 on the season, while the Warriors stand at 3-0.

Junior Autumn Osgood (Hyde Park, Vt./Lamoille Union) scored twice to lead Hiram, while sophomore Sierah Ray (Tallmadge, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) added a goal.

Lycoming scored the first 16 goals of the game, before the Terriers got on the board at the 24:32 mark of the second half on Ray's goal.

Osgood also scored at the 17:21 mark and 1:36 mark of the second half. Both goals were unassisted.

Sophomore Rachel Metcalf (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) made eight saves in goal.

Osgood finished with five draw controls and Ray added three. Sophomore Alyse Gillentine (Hartville, Ohio/Lake) and sophomore Melissa Schilling (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinsburg) each scooped up two ground balls.

The Terriers will have a quick turnaround and will continue their road trip on Wednesday, March 9, at Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) at 6 p.m.
