HIRAM, Ohio - The Terrier women's lacrosse program concluded the home portion of their 2018 regular season, dropping a 23-1 decision to Oberlin College on Wednesday evening.
The Yeowomen tallied five goals in the first seven minutes of action before going on to post 13 in the opening half. The Terriers were outshot 33-5 in the opening stanza, but senior keeper Rachel Metcalf tallied 10 saves in the frame. She went on to post a career-high 16 in her final game at Charles A. Henry Field.
The Terriers got on the board with eight minutes remaining in the game as Sierah Ray connected on her 52nd goal of the season on a free-position attempt. She finishes her home career as the second-leading scorer in Hiram history.
Oberlin's Hayley Drapkin tied the North Coast Athletic Conference single-game record for assists, posting nine in the game, as the Yeowomen went on for the victory.
The Terriers will put the wraps on the regular season on Saturday afternoon, as they travel to Meadville, Pa. to take on the Gators of Allegheny. The matchup is slated for a noon start.
