The Terrier women's lacrosse team fell prey to big scoring runs on Thursday evening, dropping an 18-3 decision to Allegheny College at Henry Field.
Hiram snagged the first goal of the game on a free-position tally from Katelyn Slomovitz. The mark pushed her season total to 33 on the year.
From there, however, the Gators would respond with an 8-0 run to end the half, before scoring the first tally of the second frame to push their advantage to 9-1.
Slomovitz netted her 34th of the year with 26:10 to play in regulation, but Allegheny would have another large run in them. The Gators rattled off nine more goals in a row before Hiram's Alexis Hirsch rounded out the scoring with 1:19 left, settling the score at 18-3.
Slomovitz led the way with a pair of points, while Hirsch and Christina Belleza chipped in with a point, each.
In net, sophomore Ketzia Umana posted a career best, making 20 saves on 28 total shots.
Hiram will conclude the regular season at home on Saturday afternoon as they play host to Wittenberg University. The matchup with the Tigers is slated to follow the men's game, which starts at 1 p.m.
