Sept. 21 - HIRAM, Ohio - The Terrier women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to visiting Case Western Reserve University on Thursday evening.

The Spartans ran out to a 4-0 in the first 45. The visitors took the lead by posting the first goal on a corner kick. A nice ball played by Ana Petropoulos found the head of Kimberly Chen, who finished the play to give Case a 1-0 advantage.

CWRU would score five minutes later, with Petropoulos finding the top right corner of the net from 35-yards out to extend the lead. The Spartans would add two more tallies in the 28th and 39th minutes to round out the scoring in the first stanza.

Hiram managed five shots in the opening 45 minutes, including two by Amber Baker. Emily Syrjala, Courtney Wendel and Sophie Bell all posted one, each.

In the second half, both defenses stiffened, with the two sides totaling just seven shots. The Terriers placed two on net, while the Spartans managed just one.

Sophomore Ally Green played the entirety of the second half, making a save on the lone chance by the Spartans.
