KANSAS CITY, Mo. – October 3, 2019 – For the twelfth-consecutive year, the Hiram Terriers women's soccer team earned the United Soccer Coaches 2018-19 Team Academic Award as announced by the USC on Thursday.
The Terriers have earned the distinction every year of Head Coach Michael Cracas' tenure, and every year dating back to 2008. Hiram also earned the academic award in 2000, 2002 and 2004.
Following their 3-0 win at Heidelberg University on Tuesday, Oct. 2, the Terriers sit at 2-9 (0-1 NCAC) on the season and will be back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 9 when they host Grove City (Pa.) at 7:30 p.m. at Charles A. Henry Field.
The United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2018-19 academic year.
