Women’s Soccer Falls to Ohio Wesleyan in 2019 Finale

DELAWARE, Ohio. - November 2, 2019- The Hiram College women's soccer team finished their 2019 campaign, dropping a 1-0 decision to Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday evening.  

Despite the host holding an 8-3 advantage in shots, the game was knotted 0-0 at the half. 

The Battling Bishops broke through in the 84th minute off a shot from Lexie Chafin to score the lone goal of the game (1-0).  

Ally Green was solid in net, despite facing 18 shots on goal, the senior made 17 stops on the day. Green leads the North Coast Athletic Conference in saves (177) and second in saves percentage (.843).  

Junior Hannah Ward paced the Terriers with three shots. Ward finished third in the conference with 54 shots on the season. 

The Terriers finished 4-15 overall and 1-7 in the North Coast Athletic Conference.
