Hiram Swimming and Diving Wraps Up Day One of Corbiere-Merion Invitational

DELAWARE, Ohio - November 23, 2019- The Hiram College swimming and diving team finished day one of the Corbiere-Merion Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

The Terriers kicked off the invitational swimming the 200-yard medley relay clocking in at 2:04.66 almost nine seconds faster than their seed time. The relay included junior Angie Ross, senior Jenna Nelson, sophomore Carlee Lisser, and freshman Adrianna Culp.

On the women's side, Nelson shined finishing in the top five in three separate events. The captain swam a second-place time in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:30.98). She also had a third and fourth place time in the 200-yard IM (2:19.29) and the100-yard breaststroke in 1:11.14.

On the men's side, sophomore Devin Gear clocked in at a career-best time of 2:24.92 in the 200-yard backstroke.

The Terriers will take on day two of the Corbiere-Merion Invitational on Sunday, Nov.24 at 10:00 am.
