CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Hiram College volleyball team posted a 1-1 record on the final day of the Marcia French Memoral Tournament on the campus of Baldwin Wallace.
The Terriers (7-1) fell to John Carroll (5-1) 25-15, 26-24, 25-18 in their first match, but rebounded to top Baldwin Wallce (4-4) 25-21, 25-16, 25-14.
Against John Carroll, sophomore Marissa Jay (Parma/Padua Franciscan) paced Hiram with nine kills, while senior Shirjoma Jacobs (Maple Heights) and junior Lindsay Brewer (Barberton/Manchester) each added eight kills apiece.
Senior Tierra Moore (Canton/Canton South) dished out a team-high 25 assists.
In the match versus BW, Brewer led the Terriers with 16 kills and .364 hitting mark, while Jacobs had 11 kills and hit .444 mark.
Zyle led the way with 20 digs and Moore added eight digs and dished out a match-high 42 assists.
As a team, Hiram hit .333 for the match, including a .432 mark in the third set.
For her efforts, Zyle was also named to the All-Tournament team.
Hiram will return to action on Tuesday, when it travels to take on Penn State-Behrend at 7:30 p.m.
