Zyle leads Volleyball in 3-1 loss to DePauw (Ind.)

GREENCASTLE, IND. -- Senior Regina Zyle (Cleveland/Beaumont) had a season-high 30 digs, but the Hiram College volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-17) road contest to DePauw (Ind.) on Saturday.

The Terriers drop to 19-6 on the season and 5-2 in the NCAC, while the Tigers improve to 22-7, 7-1.

Zyle's 30 digs beat her previous best of 26, set at Case Western on October 14.

Junior Lindsay Brewer (New Franklin/Manchester) had a match-high 17 kills for Hiram and senior Jennifer Yardas (Moon Township, Pa.) added a season best 16.

Senior Tierra Moore (Canton/Canton South) dished out 50 assists in the match.

DePauw was led by Mary Kate Etling who had 16 kills and Lauren Falotico who finished with 14.

Hiram will return to action on Wednesday, when it closes out NCAC play by hosting Oberlin at 7 p.m. The Terriers will honor their four seniors before the start of the match.
