Aline Scott Accepts Head Coaching Position at Youngstown State

Dec. 28 - HIRAM, Ohio - The Hiram College Athletics department has officially announced that head women's volleyball coach, Aline Scott, has accepted the head coaching position at Youngstown State University.

Scott departs the Hiram program after three seasons with the Terriers. During her tenure, she led Hiram to three-straight North-Coast Athletic Conference Championship Tournament appearances.

Scott led Hiram to a .663 winning percentage in her three seasons, helping the Terriers to a pair of 20-win seasons and 61 victories overall.

Last season, with a young roster, Scott led the Terriers to 19 wins and a pair of All-Conference selections, including freshmen Lindsey Walker and Kiara Franks

In her tenure, Scott led seven players to all NCAC selections, including AVCA Honorable-Mention All-American Lindsay Brewer in 2015, and NCAC Player of the Year, Marissa Jay, in 2016.

"Coach Scott has been a vital part of the resurgence of the Hiram volleyball program," commented Director of Athletics Ellen Dempsey. "We want to thank her for her three years and for helping poise the program for greatness. We wish her all the best in her new endeavor at Youngstown State."

With the departure of Coach Scott, Hiram has begun a national search for the next head women's volleyball coach.
